Kyoto University Active Geosphere Investigations
for the 21st Century COE Program

Dates :
August 14-27, 2005
Place :
The Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia

KAGI21 is offering an interdisciplinary summer school for graduate students interested in a broad range of geophysical topics. The school will be held August 14-27, 2005 at Bandung Institute of Technology in Bandung, Indonesia. The vision of KAGI21 is to encourage multidisciplinary studies of the Active eosphere, for research and education in geophysics. The purpose of the school is to give students the opportunity to have classes in subjects that may be outside of their primary field of interest. This year there will be lectures on topics in Seismology, Oceanography, Meteorology. There will also be computer exercises and field excursions.

Kyoto University invites graduate students from universities in Asia and Oceania to apply for this summer school. The travel and accommodation costs will be provided for selected students. The deadline for applications is March 10. Please click here for application information.
