This intensive International Summer School aims to introduce participants to a new multi-disciplinary approach for the Earth sciences that emphasizes the physical and/or chemical processes that are encompassed in the "Active Geosphere". It is intended for Ph.D.-course graduate students and young scientists who will lead the new multi-disciplinary approach in Asia and Oceania. It will be held at the Institut Teknologi Bandung in Indonesia. The tuition of the school is free and travel expenses will be almost fully supported by KAGI21.

This year, gThe 10th Kyoto University International Symposium: Active Geosphere Scienceh will be held at Bandung on July 26, 27 and 28. Leading scientists of the world will be invited to the symposium and all participants in the summer school will attend the symposium as a part of the summer school program.
