『地球科学や宇宙科学における分野横断的研究のためのデータポータルについて』

Ritschelさんは、ドイツ・ポツダムにあります地球科学研究所のデータセンターで、
地磁気や重力場、中性大気密度変動の観測などで大きな成果をあげてきたCHAMP衛星
やGRACE衛星観測データ、その他様々なデータの統合的提供サービスを行うシステム
の構築を中心になって進めてこられた方で、その経験と、５年前から京大をはじめ、
５機関７組織が開発をしてきた統合解析システムIUGONETとの連携について、基本的
なアイデアを話していただきます。是非奮ってご参集下さい。

GFZ ISDC data portal for cross-domain research approach in geo and space
sciences

要旨
 
The ISDC (Information System and Data Center) portal is a data server for
geo and space science data, information and knowledge, which was developed
and run for national and international projects of the GFZ German Research
Centre for Geosciences. Such projects are the satellite missions CHAMP and
GRACE but also GGP (Global Geodynamic Project) from the IAG. Almost 5000
registered ISDC users have online access to more than 30 million data
products, classified by 300 different product types which are related to
geodesy, geophysics and atmospheric sciences. The current ISDC portal which
is combining the different projects and data was introduced in 2006. It is
based on the experiences of the CHAMP data server which was launched in 2000
together with the start of the CHAMP satellite. More and more complex geo
and space research topics, such as e.g. climate change or space weather,
demand a cross-domain and interoperable approach now and in future.  The
idea of a semantic Web based development of a new ISDC, which uses domain
and terminological ontologies, integrates GFZ data, appropriate context
information and publication with external data resources, such as e.g.
IUGONET and European Union ESPAS data server.
