We are listing below some possibilities of financial support that could be useful to those interested to study Earth Sciences in Kyoto University, at a graduate level (for a Master or Ph.D. degree) or as a post-doctoral researcher. We also advise you to get in contact with a professor in your field of interest and advice with him/her on the possibility of applying for a scholarship to study/do research at Kyoto University.

Scholarships offered by the Japanese Government

Scholarships offered by JSPS

Please find the detailed information at the site of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) (Research Fellowship for Young Scientists & JSPS Post-doctoral Scholarship for Research in Japan). Appointment of TA and RA

The Graduate School of Science is providing financial support by appointing master-program/doctoral-program students as TA (Teaching Assistant) or RA (Research Assistant). The specific procedure of employment for the students of the Division of Earth and Planetary Sciences will be informed at the beginning of each fiscal year.

Other Scholarships
